Community service workers

Community service workers need to have their name entered in the log book when they work each time.

24 hours=3 times up to 2 hours
48 hours=6 times up to 2 hours
72 hours=9 times up to 2 hours

They should not be in the kid's or teen room. Mostly their offenses are DWI and misdemenor but we need to keep our kids safe.

If a reference staff member is too busy, you can just take down their name and say they will get credit. Sometimes we get a few too many people.

Regular jobs they can do:
Paper towels slightly moistened with windex for the ends of all the shelves.
Trash pick up outside and use the leaf blower on the front walk way.
Windex the conference room tables and display cases.
Straigtened books from Fiction to YA.

If someone is not helpful or causes any kind of problems, just let them know to contact the community service place down town, that you don't have anything more for them. I'll let the coordinator know to close their case at the library.
