Conference room

The reference department is responsible for ensuring good customer service for the conference room. Keep tabs on who has the conference room booked daily on the S drive. This will let you also know what programs are coming up. Check to see that tables are arranged in a normal manner--they should be arranged separately and long ends facing the back and front of the room.

If someone asks for the conference room on the spot, check the conference room schedule for the day. If the room is free, have the patron write their name, organization, phone #, and what times they will need the room. Email this information to Brenda. If Brenda is off for that day, email the front desk staff.

The overhead project is turned on and off with a small white remote, located in the locked reference drawer. When turning on, the light should be green. If not turning on or off, check the batteries (new ones in supply room). Keep the remote, don't give it to the customer.

There is a remote mouse to use with the overhead projector. The customer uses a monitor cord to attach his laptop to the projector port. The remote mouse has a switch for remote or desktop. Make sure the mouse is turned off when done to save battery life.

  1. Nice one! Sometimes doing all these manually becomes tedious and leads to so many confusions amongst employees. So, I would rather prefer getting an automatic conference room scheduling software.
